【活动内容】授课 How to write a composition

刘彬:王爱卿工作室成员,中共党员,中小学一级教师,研究生学历。

保定市第十七中学任教初中英语14年 。

通过剑桥英语教学能力TKT认证考试并

获得英国剑桥MSE通用五级KET,PET口试考官资格;

参与已结题的国家级和省级课题研究3个,在研国家级课题1个;

企鹅英语阅读指导课获河北省中小学优秀阅读课一等奖;

剑桥英语教学现场评比获河北省初中英语优质课一等奖;

七年级课例被评为省优秀教育资源并被全国中小学教师继续教育网采用;

八年级录像课获“一课一名师,一师一优课”国家级部级优课;

九年级英语课件和教案被评为河北省优秀教学资源;

在省级期刊和公开出版物发表过论文,参与过教材详解的编写;

指导张博涵等学生获得省市级英语大赛一等奖。

Learning objectives:

    To be able to design the layout and beautify the language.

    To be able to evaluate the composition and improve it.      

Anticipated language problems: Students may not know how to write a picture composition step by step. They may not use good expressions to write their compositions.

Possible solutions: Give them scaffolding instructions step by step and help them find out some good expressions to improve their compositions.

Watch a video about picking up rubbish and ask them to think out two questions:

“What can you see?

What should you do if you see some litter on the ground?”

 

 

1. Show the students the composition from 2018senior high school entrance examination.

2. Instruct the students to read the requirements carefully and think about why and how.

3. Compare two compositions and choose the best one.

4. Design the layout: Give them simple sentences to put in order.

5. Beautify the language:

Help them to modify the sentences step by step.

 

 

 

6. Improve the work:

Check the format, spelling, grammar, numbers and handwriting.

7. Show the standard of good composition in exams.

8. Review the steps.

 

Give them another picture to talk about according to the similar two questions.

 

1.Ask the students to write a new composition just like 2018 examination step by step.

2.Give them check list to improve their works.

1)Design the layout.(5mins)

(write it on your own)

2)Beautify the language.(4mins)

(make it beautiful)

Ask them to find out more good expressions from the model essays by themselves and try to use them.

3)Improve your work.(3mins)

 (exchange it with others)

3.Show some of  the students’ works and give evaluation.

 

Polish your composition and rewrite it on your work sheet with beautiful handwriting.

 

Encourage students to know how to write and love writing.
